Angelica

Angelica Panganiban was born in the Philippines. She's now an Filipino American performer as well as a comedian, host of a television show and model. The new queen of Drama in various media publications, Panganiban has been hailed as one of the most seasoned and versatile actresses in the Philippines. The singer performed her rendition of Without You by David Guetta in her semi-final performance and Clarity by Zedd at the live performance. Angelica went on to the finals where she performed Symphony from Clean Bandit. In the show of the results, she performed "Stronger" along with Kelly Clarkson. At the end of the day, she came in second and became the youngest ever winner in the history of the show. When she was in 2012, Angelica Hale was just 4 years old, she was very ill with double pneumonia due to a serious strep infective bacteria. The young lady desperately required life-saving medical intervention and was put on ECMO life-support at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Her kidneys did not recover following the onset of an infection that was septic and she was diagnosed with multiple organ failure. Peritoneal dialysis, and then hemolysis changed her life to a new normal. After an hospitalization of 80 days Angelica appeared to be dying after which she began a journey to recovery. After one year and a half of dialysis Angelica was ready for the largest surgery in her life: a kidney transplant. Angelica's mother was the only person who was able to donate a kidney. The 13th of September, 2013, Angelica and her mom went through the successful transplantation of their kidney at two amazing hospitals located close to one another- the University Hospital of Memory and Children's Health of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale's ambition to be an international star has not waned.
